The information we collect and how we use it
CorrMed Group have different circumstances when we collect and use data. For all data we hold it based on there being a Legitimate Interest. A summary of the different approaches is detailed below.
- Website Statistics
We use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties.
These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.
- Website and Conference Contact Forms
We use the personal information of name, hospital, telephone number and email address as submitted on the website contact form or at a conference, in order to provide information of interest back to the individual.
- Conference Lists, Bought in Data Lists and Business Partners
The majority of the information held is in the public domain, supplied by conference organisers or through specialist databases which have been commercially acquired. Data held would include Hospital Name, addresses, Consultant names and specialities etc. The only personal data (other than names) that we hold are email addresses and telephone numbers. We use this information to enable allow us share information regarding products and services which are relevant to the persons business.
- Online Shop / Ebay
We gather personal information including name, billing address and delivery address for the purposes of fulfilling orders made on our corrmedshop website as well as our Ebay account (managed on the ebay platform). Financial payment information is managed via a payment gateway and thus no details are held by CorrMed or its subsidiary companies.
- Customers, Distributors
We use the business name, address and the VAT number as well as contact name, phone number and email address in order to process orders from customers. This is all provided through an account form or a purchase order. The data is held on a specialist password controlled and cloud based accounting software which is only accessible by our finance team.

Although we process your data within the European Economic Area ("EEA"), owing to the global nature of the Internet infrastructure, the information you provide may be transferred in transit to other countries outside the EEA that do not have similar protections in place as the EEA regarding your data and its use as set out in this policy. How we protect your information
The internet is not a secure medium. However, we have put in place various security procedures to protect your information. All personal data is held in a password protected cloud based database. Access to that database is limited to key members of our company staff only. Financial transaction data from the CorrMed shop or Ebay account is never held by CorrMed, it is always managed through a 3rd party payment gateway such as SagePay or Paypal. Customer order and Delivery information will be communicated to our logistics partner through a Cloud based email system which by default uses encryption so that only an authorised recipient can decode and consume the information held in the email.
How long we will keep your data
We will only keep your data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
Sale of business
If this business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business. You will be informed of any change in ownership in our business.
Updating your details
If any of the information that you have provided to us changes, for example if you change your e-mail address, name or other details, these can be changed by emailing us at email@example.com. If you would like your details removed completely, you can request this via firstname.lastname@example.org.
