At our core, we’re committed to optimising the performance and functionality of medical bags, leveraging our extensive experience and rigorous field testing to provide innovative solutions. Our goal is to exceed the capabilities of existing market alternatives, driving substantial gains for NHS and emergency service teams. By focusing on improved productivity, top-tier infection control standards, and enhanced health and safety, we have developed our Entonox Cylinder Backpack.
Set to feature at the upcoming Emergency Services Show, this backpack is designed to support the easy and safe transportation of Entonox. Offering a flexible and user-friendly upgrade to the typical Entonox barrel bag - which often lead to cumbersome handling and disorganised equipment storage - our backpack ensures that emergency service teams have everything they need, precisely where they need it.
Our solution was to develop a design that supports manual handling and equipment longevity, providing:
Multiple carrying options, including a grab handle, adjustable padded shoulder strap, and wipeable backpack straps
Option to accommodate two cylinders while still leaving room for other necessary equipment.
External clear window access points for using the cylinder while it's secured inside the bag, a feature requested by design collaborators for flexibility during long search and rescue operations
Most cylinder bags on the market lack straps, and the few that have them are usually non-wipeable, compromising infection control standards. In contrast, our Entonox Bag is designed with fully wipeable, durable, and waterproof straps, setting it apart from other market alternatives. Our innovative design also includes a flat base and sides to prevent rolling on inclines, ensuring stability in all environments. Additionally, all contents are secured with an external waterproof and tamperproof zip, ensuring that equipment remains protected and hygienic. Constructed from heavy-duty, 500 denier tarpaulin (Tarpex), these features result in a backpack that looks and feels expert-made under all conditions.
When lives are on the line, every detail matters. That’s why we draw on the expertise of our Managing Director Katie Houghton, who has spent years developing and utilising infection control systems. This design-led approach not only supports time and efficiency savings in the field but also reduces medical stock wastage and restocking time, all while securing manual handling improvements through a multi-way carrying system. In turn, this supports emergency service teams to focus on using their expertise to save lives, propelling emergency response and public safety forward.
At this year’s Emergency Services Show, taking place 18 - 19 September 2024, we are eager to showcase our innovative solutions, including the CorrMed Entonox Cylinder Backpack.
