Durham Constabulary rolls out Tactical Medics Response Bag

Durham Constabulary was keen to replace its current tactical medical response bags in armed response vehicles. After a meeting with CorrMed in January 2024, the team at Durham was impressed with the CorrMed Tac Medics Response Bag and asked if it could put the bag through its paces with a view to rolling it out to its entire armed response team.

Initially designed in collaboration with multiple UK Police Forces, who were consulted throughout the entire process, the bag is designed to withstand the demands of real-world, high-pressure clinical environments. Thanks to it’s practical, durable, and highly adaptable design, the bag is perfect for a wide range of Police Medic teams including Firearms, Public Order, Surveillance and Roads Policing Units.

On a closer look, one of the most important design features is the quick-access front pocket, purpose-built for catastrophic haemorrhage kits. When seconds count, professionals can get to what they need and fast. Inside, there's a pouch which has been designed to layout Airways equipment, a capability that really impressed the team at Durham.

But of course, nothing beats real-world testing. Durham Constabulary put our Tac Med bag through its paces, trialling and comparing it alongside two other competitor products over several months. The bags were put through rigorous, everyday operational use to see which stood up to the challenge and was fit for purpose.

The result? CorrMed’s Tac Med Response Bag was the clear favourite. Every participant in the trial chose it over competitor products, citing the smart internal layout, practicality, and how efficient it made their job. They were so impressed that they said they would confidently recommend the bag to other police forces in the region.
