AIRsteril Air Silent Range
The Air Silent range from AIRsteril has been specifically designed to combine the continuous protective power of air sterilisation with a silent design to minimise noise and disruption. Although many of the other models in the AIRsteril portfolio are quiet, this model is the only one that guarantees complete silence. The Air Silent units have been designed for areas that are high footfall or in constant use such as waiting rooms, care homes and bedrooms. There are five different models – AS10, AS10X, AS20, AS20X and AS20M (see full details below), with the AS10 units for up to 15m2 and the AS20 units for up to 25m2. The X models denote extra power for high odour areas, and the M models denote extra power against allergens and pathogens, depending on the area they will be in use.

The Air Silent range has been designed to harness all of the power of AIRsteril technologies in a silent design for areas which are in constant use or where quietness is required. There are two core models (the AS10 and AS20) which are identical apart from the size and area covered, in addition to X and M versions of each to target specific problems. The X models are specifically enhanced to handle high-odour areas for example incontinence smells in care homes, and the M models are specifically enhanced to target allergens and pathogens for example in GP waiting rooms.
As with all of the AIRsteril range, Air Silent has been designed to increase hygiene standards beyond those achieved with cleaning alone. In enclosed spaces, particularly where ventilation is limited, airborne pathogens (including bacteria, viruses, mould spores and other volatile organic compounds) create offensive odours and spread infections. They are responsible for infection spread, staff absenteeism, bad smells and even descriptions of the air being ‘stuffy’, none of which can be fully managed or eliminated with cleaning alone.
